Six suspected Islamist terrorists killed in Algeria

Six suspected Islamist terrorists were killed by security forces in two separate clashes in Algeria, the country's media reported Saturday.

An Algerian soldier was also killed in the fighting, which took place Friday near Tizi Ouzou, 115 km east of Algiers, and in Saida, 440 km further southwest.

Meanwhile, one policeman was killed and two wounded in a bomb attack in the town of Jijel.

Algerian forces have been in continual conflict with Salafist terrorists, who are part to the Al Qaeda terrorist network.
