BAGHDAD -- The Iraqi parliament on Thursday approved a bill criminalizing institutions, officials and ordinary people for normalizing relations with Israel.
A statement issued by the parliament said that 275 lawmakers attending the session voted unanimously to pass the bill. (Iraq-Israel-Ties-Criminalization)

BEIRUT -- An Israeli drone fell between Lebanon's southern towns of Ayta al-Shaab and Rmeish on Thursday evening, the al-Manar local TV channel reported.
The Israeli army is trying to retrieve the drone which was seized by the Lebanese army, the channel reported. (Lebanon-Israel-Drone)

RAMALLAH/JERUSALEM -- The Palestinian Authority (PA) on Thursday announced that its probe revealed that Al Jazeera reporter Shireen Abu Akleh was "deliberately" shot by an Israeli sniper, but Israel denounced it as a "lie."
On May 11, Abu Akleh, 51, was killed after being shot in the head while covering an Israeli military raid on the Palestinian refugee camp of Jenin in the northern West Bank. (Palestine-Israel-Reporter Death-Probe)

GAZA -- Leaders of Palestinian factions, including the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), on Thursday warned Israeli far-right groups against organizing the flag march in East Jerusalem scheduled on Sunday.
At a joint news briefing held in Gaza, the factions said Israel should avoid the "stupidity" of allowing the flag march to reach the Al-Aqsa compound, which is holy to both Muslims and Jews and the focal point of recent clashes. (Palestine-Israel-Flag March Warning)
