(250723) -- TASHKENT, July 23, 2025 (Xinhua) -- An Air China passenger plane receives a water cannon salute at Tashkent International Airport in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, July 22, 2025.
Chinese carrier Air China on Tuesday launched its first direct flight route between Urumqi and Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.
The inaugural flight landed on Tuesday at Tashkent International Airport, where a ceremony was held.
Operated with Boeing 737 aircraft and under flight numbers CA779/80, the Urumqi-Tashkent flight runs every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. (Air China/Handout via Xinhua)
