CAIRO, 12th February, 2026 (WAM) -- The Central Bank of Egypt reduced its key interest rates by 1 percentage point, the bank announced on Thursday.
The move comes amid efforts to support economic growth and ease borrowing costs for businesses and consumers.
The CBE's main policy rates now stand at 29 percent for overnight deposit, 20 percent for overnight lending, and 19.5 percent for the main operation.
